Antique French metal black deed box

Sourced in a market in France, this antique black deed box is made of metal and has beautiful patina and character as befits its age. The initials HD are scratched into the lid and it has a metal handle. It has a lock, but there is no key anymore. Adds depth to any interior scheme as black is such a great grounding colour. And it has a lovely red interior. 

This is a lovely keepsake box for those special things you don't want to lose and want to remember!

I can imagine it held many precious memories for its previous owners!
