Vintage wooden French "string" box

A lovely piece of French brocante, this is an old wooden box to hold string ("Ficelle" in French which it says on the front), with a hinged lid and a hole for it to hang on the wall, in the kitchen, utliity room or wherever it's most helpful!

Full disclosure - this is in vintage condition and it could do with a bit of cleaning up and stripping back the varnish (you could then repaint it) The lid alignment is also a bit wonky! But that's the charm - a lovely one-off piece of vintage French homeware.
