Dating from 1936 by Austrian artist Paul Keufer, this is a charming vintage French landscape, painted in oils, in landscape orientation. The scene depicts a house at the bottom of a lake, surrounded by rolling hills and has the most beautiful colour scheme of blues and greens. (On the back is scribbled "Tirol - 1933, which seems to have been the setting)
This is unframed and signed and dated. "P Keufer 1936"
Paul Keufer was a successful artist born in 1881, who has had many of his paintings listed for auction.
There is some damage as shown but in my opinion this doesn't detract from a beautiful painting - please check photos and this is reflected in the price.
